Having moved around a lot over the years—from the Orkney islands to Bournemouth on the south coast of England—Felicity French has a love for the countryside and the coast that inspires her illustrative style. She draws everything by hand and has a fine collection of pens! Her favorite things to draw include animals, birds, and flowers, taking inspiration from the outdoors and being surrounded by nature. She likes to incorporate pattern into her work and is especially inspired by Scandinavian and Paisley design. She has illustrated many coloring books that vary in style—ranging from Color by Numbers and Flip It character books for very young children and activity books including puzzles and word games to very intricate patterned coloring pages for adults. She has also worked on several coloring journals focusing on hand drawn type, borders and doodle pages.
